Position Responsibilities
Sales / Account Managers prime responsibilities will be to sell new client accounts in order to; sell ENGARD Compliance & Surveillance products and services, generate new opportunities at new accounts in a defined region / territory, to drive new revenue for the firm and to attain or overachieve sales goals.
Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
Sales / Account Manager is expected to understand and be able to communicate all facets of the customer business as it relates to SunGard Trading Systems products and services. This includes building relationships with key decision makers including Senior Managers in Business, Technical and Operational positions.
The Sales / Account Manager must be equally adept at discussing business - contractual terms, the overall state of compliance & buy side trading environments as well as technical systems concepts. Additionally, the Sales / Account Mgr is expected to learn, communicate and present functional aspects of the products and their respective value proposition for the various products and services we market.
Sales / Account must be experienced in ‘breaking’ into new accounts via contacts, cold call, etc. in order to facilitate the eventual closure of business with new prospect. This long-term sales cycle requires diligence, the ability to recognize opportunity, effectively communicate the value proposition of our varied market offerings and bring business opportunities to closure.
Build strong relationships with clients and promote teamwork among the key co-workers in order to closely manage, increase customer satisfaction, coordinate the activities at assigned accounts, share information regarding the accounts, and to jointly exploit revenue opportunities.
Key activities for this position include but are not limited to are:
1) Sell new accounts and grow revenue by prospecting new accounts within assigned territory
2) Establish new business relationships with firms ENGARD does not currently do business with.
3) Provide management with detailed regular reports indicating progress of all sales, renewals, and new business.
4) Provide management with detailed market intelligence based upon travels / experience.
5) Build key senior management level relationships throughout assigned territory.
6) Coordinate internal resources to execute account plans, maximize revenues and keep a high customer satisfaction level.
Position Requirements
Skills (include specific skill levels - i.e degree, years of experience, industry experience, leadership)
• A minimum of five (5) years successful selling experience
• Specific experience in the sales of trading compliance and surveillance systems.
• Well honed presentation skills
• Minimum 60% traveling / presenting / visiting / entertaining clients and prospects
• Self motivated team players
• Proficient technical proposal and RFP generation
• Knowledge of overall buy-side trading workflow
• Expertise in new business development and in devising, presenting and closing high level enterprise wide trading solutions
• Experienced in long sales cycles, multi layered selling strategies, managing multiple buying influences
