Position Description

Omni has an immediate need for experienced Business Analysts to join our Professional Services and Consulting team.  THESE POSITIONS CAN BE BASED THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position interacts directly with SunGard clients to assist them in the articulation of their business needs so that SunGard can respond appropriately to the work order in hand.  The Business Analyst must work to understand the client’s business, processes, and goals to offer accurate, valuable analysis and recommendations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
• Documents client requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations as appropriate
• Perform needs analysis activities, such as data-gathering, documentation, validation, and presentation
• Assists with gap analysis under the direction of the Project Manager
• Defines and documents test conditions, develops accurate and complete test plans, and conducts testing
• Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions
• Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and consistently applies project standards
• Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively, and understands the components of running a fiscally successful project
• Responds appropriately and quickly to client requests, and escalates issues clearly and immediately
• Demonstrates professionalism and responsiveness at all times on the job
• Work on site at clients' location, requiring 100% travel

Position Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with OmniPlus in a transaction processing, business analyst, technical analyst, QA, or consultant role
• Bachelor’s degree in a business- or IT-related discipline
• Candidates without a Bachelor’s degree will be considered if they possess high school diploma/GED and at least 7 years of directly related work experience, as described above, within the financial services and defined contribution/defined benefits industries
• Previous experience in the Financial Services Industry, specifically as related to defined contribution and define benefits administration
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and learn new processes and technologies quickly
• Knowledge of SunGard products and offerings
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Must be self-directed, extremely organized, detail-oriented, and be able to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to work with all personality types to overcome obstacles and keep on schedule
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
