Senior Smalltalk Developer

STeP, a business unit of SunGard, is seeking a Senior Smalltalk Developer for our Livingston, NJ office.

Job Description:

Developer will be part of a strong team enhancing an existing application written in Smalltalk and C#.Net

Position Requirements

Required skills:

• 4 + years experience using Smalltalk, preferably VA Smalltalk/ Visual Age Smalltalk.
• 4 + experience with Envy source code management.
• Demonstrated ability to write robust, high-performance code
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience/ Transact SQL scripting
• Strong understanding of web services and WSE 2.0, SOAP
• Demonstrated experience working with XSDs and XML documents
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Desired Skills:

• Rules engine development
• C# and .Net remoting
• Visual Basic 6.0
• Installshield scripting and packaging
• Familiarity with SUnit testing frameworks
• Familiarity with SilverMark Test Mentor
• Experience in financial services
• Familiarity with FIX / SWIFT protocols
• Familiarity with messaging protocols (MQSeries, MSMQ, WebSphere)
