Position Responsibilities
Job Description:
We are looking for an exceptional individual to become part of our existing marketing team. This director level position will play a key role in managing marketing activities and staff related to the trading technology, brokerage services, compliance and risk management solutions at SunGard. An ideal candidate will have experience as a senior level marketing manager in a company that either develops financial services technology/business applications or in a company that is a market participant. They will possess a strong understanding of the full range of marketing and communications disciplines including public relations, analyst relations, advertising, collateral development, messaging, interactive media, events planning and sales support.
Responsibilities:
• Articulate and communicate SunGard’s distinctive competence and value proposition in the equities and options trading market place
• Drive go-to-market messaging, as well as key features and benefits through white papers, case studies, presentations and sales collateral
• Work with Sales to ensure their marketing needs are met in driving to corporate objectives and revenue numbers
• Develop and execute both strategic and tactical marketing campaigns designed to drive sales leads and market awareness.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure product introductions are well targeted, launched, marketed and sold
• Evangelize and promote SunGard’s offerings externally to industry thought leaders and strategic partners, as well as communicating market needs internally
• Identify and remove obstacles to market success
Position Requirements
Qualifications/Skills:
• Proven track record and experience marketing to the financial services marketplace
• Passion for executing marketing campaigns and measuring results against established objectives
• Strong analytical ability to assess complex situations and exceptional creativity to provide solutions
• Solid marketing skills when dealing with technical content for non-technical audiences
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to make recommendations and decisions independently
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a very fast paced environment
• Must possess the ability to influence positive thinking and gain acceptance from technical, non-technical and management audiences
• Superior analytical, writing, verbal and time management skills
Experience:
•????5-7 years in a senior marketing or product marketing role
•?????BA/BS in a relevant field
